MATERNITY BENEFITS COMPUTATION

A. If you are employed and your BASIC PAY is 20,000 PHP and above, you can surely get 70,000 PHP maternity leave unless you have absences, absences will be deducted in your monthly contribution.

B. If you are unemployed and voluntary contributor, and you want to get the 70,000 PHP and more Maternity benefits you need to pay 3,0250 PHP for at least three monthly contributions within the 12-month period immediately preceding the semester of your childbirth or miscarriage.

The semester of contingency is composed of two quarters where your estimated due date is within.
There are four (4) quarters in a year:

1st quarter: January – March
2nd Quarter: April – June
3rd Quarter: July – September
4th Quarter: October – December

EXAMPLE
If you are pregnant on December 2020, your EDD is September 2021. You need to pay your contribution around April 2020 to March 2021. You need to pay 3,250 PHP for at least six months within that period.
Here is the sample computation:

3,250 (max. contribution) = 25,000 PHP monthly compensation
25,000 X 6 (months) = 150,000 PHP
25,000 / 180 = 833.33 PHP (daily allowance)
833.33 X 105 (days) = 87, 500 PHP

It depends on the computation on the qualifying period and the monthly contribution.

Mam, meron pong semester of contingency na tinawag sa SSS kailangan po within the said period nakabayad kayo.

But as of now hindi na po acceptable sa maternity benefits if ngayon palang kayo magstart maghulog mam dahil di na po pasok before your contingency semester yung hulog niyo if magstart kayo ngayon as voluntary.

Good day Ma’am ituloy niyo lang po ang paghuhulog until manganak kayo for you to avail and maximize maternity benefits from SSS, mas maganda din po na magbigay na kayo agad ng notice kay SSS na buntis po kayo. You need to give a copy of your ultra sound that has your EDD with your physician’s signature.

Good day ahead! Basta po pasok ang hulog niyo for the qualifying period ni SSS it doesn’t matter if sa lying in or sa hospital po kayo manganganak.

Hi good afternoon! Thank you.

    Hello,

So from oct. And due date ko ay last week of april or first week of may 2022. Kng may lapse yung paghulog ng contributions konstart nung nag first wave si covid 19 by march (5 months hindi binawasan si sss pero we have work) then now na pina early mat leave kami kse pinagbabawal ang buntis mag work dahil pandemic. . start aug.2021-up to now wala sya hulog. .
Thank you.
