Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new discovered corona virus; however most people who contacted the Covid-19 experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and can recover without special treatments. It is normally transmitted through droplets from an infected person’s cough, sneeze or whenever they exhale.
March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared an outbreak of Coronavirus Disease, because of the brisk spread of the virus. The government put the community in quarantine, when people can only go out when you have a work, need to buy essentials, and emergency purposes, implemented rules and regulations in the whole world. Flights has been suspended, opening of classes has been cancelled and doing the things you regularly do was affected.
The pandemic has changed the way we work, go to school, interacting with one another, socializing personally, and you cannot go outside without wearing a mask. It also triggered a wave of mental health issues. Life in lockdown under quarantine for such a long time is never easy especially with people dealing with mental health situation.
On the positive side, many study found that pandemic strengthened relationships with family and friends because they spent more time in their home than outside, their bond become stronger by spending time together.
Due to the current situation of our world, we tend to adjust in the so called “New Normal“, maintaining a one meter distance with one another, wearing a mask and a face shield when you go outside, and going to crowded places is not allowed as of today. This pandemic taught us many things, and make us appreciate the things that we always take for granted.
